Joint health is fundamental to flow with ease and comfort in the body. Although we may be aging gracefully, the joints tend to lose flexibility due to reduced amounts of lubricating fluids, hormonal shifts, and thinning cartilage. You’ll learn many new tools to nourish and strengthen your joints, reduce discomfort or pain, and allow you to feel more grace and joy in your body.

Your whole body and being will love this series focused on Nourishing the Joints! Yoga is proven to improve joint mobility, health, and to reduce joint pain. Each session will introduce new techniques that you’ll both learn about, and be guided in, with beautiful and special practices with Certified Yoga Therapist Jennifer Reis.

This Nourishing the Joints Series includes:

  • Rhythmic Movement, Joint Rotations and Yoga Postures
  • Somatics – Works with the nerves to establish healthy movement patterns.
  • PNF Stretching and Release Techniques – Increases range of motion and is one of the best methods of stretching.
  • Breathing and Mudras – Circulates and increases energy.
  • Self-Massage and Acupressure – Soothes and calms mind, and frees blocked energy.
  • Yoga Nidra – Deep relaxation allows soft tissue to heal.

Jennifer Reis developed Five Element Yoga® Therapy to weave together the rich traditions of yoga, Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine, yoga therapy, and nature’s wisdom. The goal is balance and harmony within oneself for increased health, happiness and wellness.

This is a five-week series of LIVE ONLINE 75-minute sessions. Chat will be available during and after our class to connect with our community, and for Questions & Answers. During class time, you can choose to have your video on or off for your privacy, and you will never be video recorded.

All you need is:

  • Laptop, computer, or device.
  • Blankets
  • Cushions or pillows
  • Tennis ball or small massage ball.
  • Yoga strap (or a belt, scarf, or necktie)
  • Yoga mat (or a towel or an additional blanket on the floor)
  • Optional yoga blocks
  • Optional chair to sit on.
