Join Kripalu faculty Jennifer Reis for this live online series entirely focused on finding deep rest and improving your sleep. Grounded in the wisdom of yoga with proven evidence-based research and adapted for modern life, Jennifer’s yoga nidra guided meditation requires nothing but to lie down and listen—allowing you to experience a natural shift into parasympathetic relaxation mode.

Over the course of four weeks, Jennifer will guide you through gentle movement, self-massage techniques, learning new tools, and extended Divine Sleep® Yoga Nidra. You will:

  • Reduce mental, physical, and emotional stress.
  • Cultivate a greater sense of inner freedom and restoration.

Divine Sleep® Yoga Nidra

Created by Jennifer, this lying down guided meditation allows you to deeply relax at the end of each session, restoring you within every level of being.

Week 1  Introduction to Relaxation and Divine Sleep® Yoga Nidra Meditation  

Learn more about the yoga philosophy and the structure that creates Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra, the effects and results of the practice, and practical tips for practice and improved sleep. You’ll be guided in soothing breathwork and simple yoga movements followed by extended Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra meditation.

Week 2  Come Back Home To Your Body 

Focusing on the Body Scan, a fundamental technique within yoga nidra, you’ll learn how this practice calms your nervous system, and helps you reconnect with your body. We’ll practice some simple grounding movements and breathwork, followed by our main event – an extended guided Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra.

Week 3  Attune to Breath and Energy

Learn how your breath and vital life force energy can help you reconnect with your natural rhythms, supporting optimal health and healing. Our guided yoga nidra will focus on the ‘energy body’, bringing you back into balance.

Week 4  Unwind Your Mind  

Discover the higher levels of mind accessible through yoga nidra and learn how this practice helps you release thoughts and tensions for greater peace. Yoga nidra focuses on the ‘journey’ where you naturally activate your higher levels of mind, heart and wisdom.

NOTE Please have available a blanket, pillows, bolsters or cushions, and optional eye covering for all sessions. Yoga mat and other yoga props are optional.
