Mindful Chocolate Eating is a great way to enjoy pleasure and feel L*O*V*E! Especially when the ingredients are so healthy, and the recipe is so simple to make! I’ve been making my own chocolate for years, and I hope you enjoy it too! (I make it a bit different each time and that’s part of the joy of it for me: I can be creative, spontaneous and the result always tastes unique! Please do let yourself get creative).
INGREDIENTS (organic where you can!)
- 2/3 cup cocoa powder
- 2/3 cup coconut oil
- 1/3 cup local maple syrup or other sweetener (I use less and add green powdered stevia leaf – not the processed liquid or white powder, better to use the actual leaf ground up).
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 tsp. cinnamon (can help blood sugar levels and cholesterol)
- 1/4 tsp. sea salt or Himalayan salt
Try adding these additional ingredients:
- shredded coconut
- gogi berries
- raisins
- nuts or seeds
- rose petals
- fresh mint
- mint extract
- orange extract
INSTRUCTIONS
Melt oil in a small saucepan and whisk in the sweetener, vanilla, cocoa powder, cinnamon, salt, and other ingredients. IMPORTANT: do a taste test to make sure you like it!
Pour onto a parchment lined cookie sheet and refrigerate or freeze until firm (about 20-mins). Break into smallish pieces and put in a glass jar or container and store in the fridge (these melt at room temperature).

Use a chocolate mold, like my ❤️ mold! Simply pour your chocolate in, tap it on the counter a few times, let it sit for 5-mins and tap again to get all the bubbles out. Then refrigerate or freeze and pop them out!
