Kosha Poem: Layer by Layer, I Come Home
Layer by layer
I come home.
First, the body.
Bone, muscle, pulse.
This landscape of earth and gravity
offers me a strong container for life’s journey.
Then breath,
tides moving through hidden channels,
currents whispering
‘you are alive, you are carried’.
Mind and emotion flicker,
firelight across the inner sky.
Stories rise, dissolve,
and I am no longer the storm,
but the one who watches the weather.
From the heart’s wide horizon
a wiser witnessing opens.
Beliefs loosen their knots.
Breeze flows freely.
I reside inside a larger truth.
And then I remember.
Inner fountain of joy without a reason.
Love without an object.
A spaciousness that opens
and includes everything.
The layers shimmer,
no longer walls
but translucent veils
through which light pours.
Body breathing,
mind resting,
heart radiant
and beneath it all
a steady sun
that has never once
stopped shining.
