Your well-being is of great importance to me. I have had the honor of guiding as well as training thousands of students for 30 years and I’m so happy you are interested in joining our Circle.

As senior faculty member of Kripalu Center and the Kripalu Schools, I have devoted my work to creating Five Element Yoga® and Divine Sleep® Yoga Nidra.

Over many years, my Online Studio and global community have grown into a welcoming home for thousands seeking rest, balance, and renewal. Through my teaching, I weave embodiment, elemental wisdom, and compassion, with emphasis on supporting the nervous system and restoring natural energy.

My Story

Originally from Western Canada, I studied Fine Arts in Calgary, Toronto, and Vancouver, alongside Eastern Religions, Buddhism, Anthropology, and Psychology, earning my BFA. As a professional artist for many years I exhibited across Canada and received grants from the Canada Council for the Arts and the Ontario Arts Council. I longed for something beneath the surface, a fuller life of meaning, presence, and connection.

Creating art was my first ‘meditation’. I learned how attention settles, listening deepens, and how something wiser begins arise. During college, this curiosity led me into formal study of yoga and meditation, little knowing that it would shape my life both personally and professionally.

After my 200-hr and 500-hr E-RYT yoga teacher trainings, and numerous meditation retreats, I became a Licensed Massage and Shiatsu Therapist and Certified Yoga Therapist. I taught yoga in Toronto for many years then I made a pivotal move to Kripalu Center over two decades ago to be a volunteer which changed my life and also where I met my husband Michael. Since then, we’ve made our home in NY and Massachusetts, cultivating our lives alongside our canine companions and tending to our cherished gardens throughout the years.

My teaching expanded into developing Five Element Yoga® and Divine Sleep® Yoga Nidra. I am senior faculty at Kripalu Center and the Kripalu School of Yoga. I have been blessed to direct Teacher Trainings: 200-hr Yoga Teacher Training, Integrative Yoga Therapy Training, Self-Massage Training, Five Element Yoga® Teacher Training and Divine Sleep® Yoga Nidra Teacher Training.

Professional Background

Jennifer has created both Divine Sleep® Yoga Nidra and Five Element Yoga® and is one of the foremost international teachers of yoga nidra. Her recordings are the best-selling of all times for over 20-years at Kripalu Center.

Divine Sleep® Yoga Nidra Teacher Training is comprehensive, with a beautifully written 200-page proprietary manual by Jennifer. She has graduated over 2500 students in her powerful experiential training. Led both live-online and in person at Kripalu Center, Toronto, Chicago, San Diego, Manhattan, Boston, Tampa, Rekjavik Iceland, Melbourne Australia, and more.

Jennifer received her 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in 1996. Licensed Massage Therapist (plus Ayurveda and Shiatsu) since 2005. Faculty at Kripalu Center since 2001. Director of many 200-hr Yoga Teacher Trainings at Kripalu Center, and Faculty of the school of Integrative Yoga Therapy for over a decade.

Certifications include E-RYT 500, YACEP, C-IAYT Certified Yoga Therapist, and LMT Licensed Massage Therapist
